The bulk of the stack is made up of thin bangles wrapped in velvet or silk thread. This material gives the set a deep, luxurious, matte texture and prevents the clear bangles from clinking too loudly.
The central, thicker bangles are the Kadas. These are rigid metal bangles (likely gold-toned) heavily embellished with white or clear crystal rhinestones that provide the main sparkle and serve as the focal point.
